(TRICKS) Time resolved imaging of contrast kinetics is a MRI technique, which increases the temporal resolution of dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography (CE-MRA) sequences. The K-space is divided into regions by increasing the sampling rate at the lower spatial frequencies and by reducing the sampling rate at the higher spatial frequencies. Since the time duration between two frames is shortened, it can be observed how frequently and how quickly the images are repeated at the exact same location.
TRICKS is particularly useful for dynamic vascular studies with high temporal resolution. TRICKS improves the calculation of the contrast bolus arrival and improves the characterization of arterio-venous malformations (AVMs).

(RE MRI) There are several approaches to speeding up the MRI data acquisition process by repeating the excitation by RF pulses in times short compared to T1, typically using small flip angles and gradient echo refocusing. When TR is also on the order of or shorter than T2, the repeated RF pulses will tend to refocus transverse magnetization remaining from prior excitations, setting up a condition of steady state free precession, and a dependence of signal strength (and image contrast) on both T1 and T2.
This can be modified in various ways, particularly:
1) to spoil the tendency to build up a steady state by reducing coherence between excitations, e.g. by variation of the phase or timing of consecutive RF pulses or of the strength of spoiler gradient pulses, thus increasing the relative dependence of signal strength on T1 or
2) acquire the signal when it is refocusing immediately prior to the next RF pulse, thus increasing the relative dependence of signal strength on T2.

2 Dimensional Fourier Transformation Imaging
 
(2D FT) A form of sequential plane imaging using Fourier transformation imaging. In 2D FT, a line of data corresponds to the digitized NMR signal at a particular phase encoding level. The Fourier transformation process reconstructs the detected frequency and phase encoded image information (which are rotated 90° from each other) into a usable image.

(DICOM) DICOM is the industry standard for transferral of radiologic images and other medical information between computers. Patterned after the Open System Interconnection of the International Standards Organization, DICOM enables digital communication between diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and systems from various manufacturers.
The DICOM 3.0 standard evolved from versions 1.0 (1985) and 2.0 (1988) of a standard developed by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). To support the implementation and demonstration of DICOM 3.0, the RSNA Electronic Communications Committee began to work with the ACR-NEMA MedPacs ad hoc section in 1992.
Also Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), which are connected with the Radiology Information System (RIS) use commonly the DICOM standard for the transfer and storage of medical images.

(FIESTA) The fast imaging employing steady state acquisition sequence provides images of fluid filled structures with very short acquisition times. The FIESTA sequence uses the T2 steady state contrast mechanism to provide high SNR images with strong signal from fluid tissues while suppressing background tissue for contrast and anatomic detail of small structures. In addition, the ultra short TR and TE enable extremely short acquisition times - shorter than FSE - and the images can be post processed using MIP, volume rendering, or 3D navigator techniques.
