dedicated vascular coil
Hello, Hitachi just came out with a PVA coil last month. I haven't seen pictures from it, but hear they look good, with or without contrast.
We just had an Echelon 16 channel installed 3 weeks ago, Protocols right out of the system box look good, still have some tweaking to do.
Any suggestions on protocols are GREATLY APPRECIAED.

Thanks, Keith

Feridex/endorem and bone MRI
I would like to label cells with a paramagnetic particle to see it in vivo by MRI after implantation inside a bone defect.
I am thinking on feridex/endoderm, it has contrast effect T2, predominantly negative enhacement.
Does anybody know something about this?
Will I be able to see this kind of signal by MRI? White or blak?
Thanks a lot.

PCA aliasing problem
This is not spatial aliasing I am talking about, but velocity aliasing. This means that when your velocity encoding parameter is set to 100 cm/s and true velocity in a certain pixel is 120 cm/s, the measured velocity will be -80 cm/s.

In my problem however, with a velocity encoding parameter of 100 cm/s, in certain pixels I measure a velocity of around -60 cm/s where an actual velocity of 40 cm/s exists, which is a real mystery to me.

I don't think increasing FOV will prevent this from happening. Maybe it has something to do with velocity aliasing in other parts of the FOV, where true flow velocity of 110-120 cm/s exists, but I wouldn't know why. Anyone? Thanks.

FLAIR's parameters
what are the optimal relations between the various parameters of a FLAIR?
I noticed that the TR is almost 4 times the TI. Why?
there are arrangements to be considered on TE?

thanks
