HASTE and RARE are developed only bay Siemens?
Has every other head office (Philips, GE, Toshiba, etc) these two sequences with these names or with other names?
I need to understand it, because I have to "edit" an important document, where I can't quote any specific MR producer!!
Could I perhaps say "sequences as HASTE" or "sequences type RARE"??

I think it's better to plan both ureters, put the pack of slices exactly coronal on an axial abdomen slice including both kidneys, take care on a sagital slice to give an angle parallel to spine but including the bladder and the space behind it, use foldover direction (siemens) or Rfov 1 (GE), fov 400-450, sl thick 0.80-1mm, open the 3d slice pack as much as needed, use navigator-pace (siemens) or triggering (GE).
A preparation of diet is needed some times, additional sequences (haste, fiesta, vibe+iv or lava+iv contr) are necessary.

if u r a siemens user use 3d space
or its much better to use carbex solution oraly as a contrast to activate the glands and do 40mm haste sag obl (planed in axial) just after the oral contrast you will get much better result

Hi Elena,
you can find the different names for the same sequences and options used by manufacturers at: http://www.mr-tip.com/serv1.php?type=cam .
The manufacturers have in principle similar sequences with small differences. So, as you mentioned you can take "sequences as HASTE" or "sequences type RARE".
However, you can lead back these sequences also to the fundamental sequence type FSE ( fast spin echo: http://www.mr-tip.com/serv1.php?type=seq&sub=12 ). Fast sequences as HASTE ( http://www.mr-tip.com/serv1.php?type=db1&dbs=haste ) are especially useful in cases of movement caused by their single shot technique: http://www.mr-tip.com/serv1.php?type=db1&dbs=Single%20Shot%20Technique .
