we have had great success with a Medrad Spectris power injector - peripheral angios can be done using 20mls gad at flow rate of 1ml/sec without venous return.(siemens symphony magnetom 1.5T)

Hi,
Do you have any information on the magnitude of the electric field intensity inside the GE signa 1.5T scanner?

Machine Opening artifact
Does anyone know anything about the artifact created by the opening of the MR. I know it is do to bending in the magnetic feild, but is there any solutions, like a simple image transform? Or is there a specific name for this problem that I could research more?

Hi,
you can take a strong T2 weighted MRCP or similar sequence with smaller FOV. For an overview one thick slice in sagittal or transversal direction and for more details a 3D sequence with thin slices and higher matrix. For better visualization a sour (lemon) juice can be given before the examination.
