Vibrant Sound Bridge and MRI
Hello everyone,
I have a Vibrant Soundbridge implanted on both sides of my skull, which contain a magnet. I use them due to severe hearing impairment.
Now the question is, I was told that MRI was prohibited for patients with a Vibrant Soundbridge.
Could anyone suggest an alternative to this problem please? Is there another equipment allowing me to have the conclusions normally obtained from MRI? My problem is an accident to my spinal cord, which requires further investigation using an MRI.
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks a lot

Is something wrong with this MRI?
I may have a torn Labrum in my left hip. Can somebody tell me if something is wrong here. I have only uploaded the picture which looks like there may be something wrong. I will be getting the results from my MRI by the end of this week. Thanks

door alarm/ MRI pauses if door opens
Hello all. I am a engineering student that is studying everything that I can. I came across something that said MRI's are enclosed in a room (duh) but when the scan is going the door is "armed" so if it is opened the scan pauses. Is this true for all MRI's? I work in a small imaging center and when I asked the tech there he gave me a funny look and said go back to work. Can you help? Can you tell me which MRI system that you are using and whether or not it when the door opens the scan will pause or stop. If the scan stops is the series lost? is everything? or can you pick up where you left off. Thank you for your assistance. If you have any other information about MRI's pausing during scans, stopping, saving image quality, and you are willing to share please feel free to share.

Prone plantarflexion ankle MRI-upside down dicom images
We have been performing our ankle MRI exams in prone plantarflexion in order to decreased magic angle artifact. The images are beautiful and much easier to interpret. However, they come out upside down and reversed from the scanner. We have the techs flip them correctly in our PACS. Unfortunately, many of our referring doctors have their own separate pacs system and they take the dicom data from the disc we create for the patient and load into their system. When they do this, the images are again upside down and reversed. We are using GE 3T systems. Anyone have any thoughts or recommendations on how to fix the dicom images that are burned onto the disc? Thanks.

MRI artifact
Hi. I have recently been experiencing an artifact on a STIR sequence (GE Signa HDxT 3.0T) using a HD CTL spine Coil. I'm am not fully understanding what could be happening here. One MRI technologist thought it was a corduroy artifact due to RF leak, but I'm not 100% sure there was RF leak, at least from the door, as it was closed completely.
