GE signa excite 3T - clustered volume acquisition
I am wondering if anyone has experience with so called 'clustered volume acquisition' on a GE signa excite 3T. Clustered volume acquisition (or sparse acquisition) means that you acquire images within the first 1000 ms of a 2000 ms TR, for example (Edmister et al., 1999, Human Brain Mapping). This method is useful because the machine will stop producing scanning noise in the final 1000 ms of the TR, which can then be used for recording speech inside the scanner (in fmri applications).
I am asking whether 1) this sequence can be programmed from the parameters menu on the scanner console, or 2) whether it requires compilation of a new pulse sequence.

Dears!!
I try to understand why TIRM have a long TR and long TE ( value of T2 image ) but sequences bring a T1 mark

Thanks!!!

I think it's better to plan both ureters, put the pack of slices exactly coronal on an axial abdomen slice including both kidneys, take care on a sagital slice to give an angle parallel to spine but including the bladder and the space behind it, use foldover direction (siemens) or Rfov 1 (GE), fov 400-450, sl thick 0.80-1mm, open the 3d slice pack as much as needed, use navigator-pace (siemens) or triggering (GE).

A preparation of diet is needed some times, additional sequences (haste, fiesta, vibe+iv or lava+iv contr) are necessary.

Yes, you should be able to drop the unwanted sequences. You should only submitt to the ACR the sequences that you will be using on a daily bases.

hello everyone.I need help with mr urography. how do you plan graphically the sequence MRCP for the study of the ureters? I mean if you considered a kidney at a time or both in the fov, how many thick slice you need. etc.
I thanks a lot
