ARRT vs.ARMRIT exams |
Hi everybody,
I'm just trying my luck if someone can guide me as I am planning to set an exam in the future for to be register in US but everything seems confusing I tried to read the requirements in ARRT seems not open for foreign graduate.while ARMRIT are well guided if you want to set an exam.but the other consequenses not been recognised nationwide whilst ARRT recognised throughout US. infairness these two institution doing there job to protect the public but it sounds they have rival which causing candidate to confuse.
any suggestion,comments are welcome.
Thank you

ARMRIT to ARRT pathway - - - HELP |
I think the ARMRIT (ARMPIT) pathway will actually take away jobs from RTs since it is to my thinking that ARMPIT Techs get paid less money and therefore drives the wages down. Also a limited scope ultrasound tech can sit for the ARRT exam as well.
With this economy the way it is, more people WILL lose their jobs and ARMPITS will stick up the environment.
It is just a matter of time!!!

Mechanical Ventilator outside of Scan room |
I recently visited a site where a patient on mechanical ventilation from ICU was having an MRI. The ventilator and IV pumps were located outside the room with the tubing running through two sleeves in the wall (brass or other non-ferrous sleeve) to the patient.
Is this common? Is this safe? Are their problems associated with this?
sorry if I sound ignorant, I am not an MRI tech.

ARMRIT?? |
In my opinion I think you should persue the current situation you have right now. unless you want to do different modality. I have been a member of ARMRIT since 97 and I have count my blessings with them. You will encounter a lot of discouragement with those so called "RT's" I've been there and I have worked my butt-off to be where am at now. I can performed all types of exam in MRI and currently training a lot of RT's.
A lot of places recognize ARMRIT just like RDMS in ultra sound.
My advise to you, continue your path to success and best of luck.
