Need information/help from MRI Techs
Hi, my name is Allen and I'm reading up on MRI training and such, but I really have no idea what schools to look at.

For now I want to just do the certificate program, and then go back to school to get my associates and so on.

I am in the Southern California area, Riverside to be more exact and am in need of school information, basically where do I start.

If you'd like, just email me directly.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Protection against magnetic exposure
Hi,
I'm not really sure which information you need.

Here are some links which may help you:
http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/ode/guidance/793.pdf
or try to search the FDA website by yourself
http://www.fda.gov/search.html

or try to search Health Canada (also in french):
http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/index_e.html

search for "specific absorption rate", "MRI guidelines"

Hope this helps

MRI study guide for a physics dummy
I did MR for 11 months and have been out of the field for a few yrs. Registry eligibility about to run out. I would appreciate recommendations for best study guides. I learned to scan w/in a wk, but never really learned how the image was produced. A study guide from a VERY basic start point would be most helpful. Also, any recommendations on exam prep courses. Thank you for your time and any information you share.

MRI Claustrophobia Interview Request
Roger,

Claustrofobia is difficult topic, real claustrofobic patient won't enter the room...and thus won't experience MR.

Interesting question is how the environment surounding the actual MR, influences this behaviour (Ambient Experience). Also consider looking at High Field Open MR systems (1.0T).

Cheers
