I have same trouble with counting T1 of the gadolinium solution.
f.ex.
There are six fantom with gadolinium solution in 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 mmol/l. Fantoms scanned with pulse sequences SE with TR equal 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 ... 4000 ms. For each fantom calculated T1 by iteractive minimizing technique the equation: S(TR)=M0*(1-exp(-TR/T1))
At the result, I have six T1: 72, 170, 255, 403, 725, 1474 ms.
How can I calculate T1 and R1 of the pure solution of contrast media?

T1 FAT SAT PRE AND POS GADO |
ANYBODY COULD GIVE ME A GOOD ANSWER WHY T1 FAT SAT IMAGES PRE AND POS GADO ARE SO DIFERENT CONCERNING TO THE MUSCULATURE, FAT AND OTHER STRUCTURES ?
THE MUSCLES ARE DARKER AND BETTER VISUALIZED,THE FAT COMES ALSO DARKER LIKE WE HAVE SEEN A SERIE WITH OTHER WEIGHT.
PS:.THE SERIES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AND WERE PRINTED WITH THE SAME LEVEL AND WIDTH.
PS2:. IS THIS THE SAME THAT OCCURS IN T1 FAT SAT OF THE ANKLE WHERE THE LIQUID APPEARS BRIGHT ?
PS3:. HOW COULD I EXPLAIN BOTH ?
THANKS.
CLAUDIO

T1/T2 relaxation time charts |
Does anyone have a reliable T1/T2 relaxation chart for the different tissue types? Or could you point me in the direction of a website that has them listed? I haven't been able to find a formula. Thank you.

T1 and T2 of mineral oil at 3T |
I have been through google and pubmed and can't seem to find these numbers. Anyone know?
For reference I am talking about Pure Mineral oil from Aldrich.

GE Signa - 17,18,19 Phantoms Found looking for 1 |
I submitted this question years ago. Answer to this question and anyone else with an issue in SNR testing is: it was the phantom. GE coils as with all coils have SET phantoms that should be used due to the system programming. It looks for the gaps/spaces between the phantom balls, blocks, etc. At that time of question above the FE doing the testing was using USAI phantoms (which are large blocks) and GE CTL phantoms are small/mid size balls contained in an acrylic piece. After complete rebuild of 25 CTL's figured I got bench testing these things down to a science, with T1/T2 values higher than OEM. I can thank that FE, because it made me improve my reverse engineering skills, which I've applied to so much since then.
