Electronic Noise

Any electrical resistance generates thermal noise called Johnson Noise. This noise is also generated by the human body as a consequence of the ionic nature of body tissue and fluids, all active electronic devices (e.g. transistors) generate noise and noise is transmitted through the ether (radio-signals, interference from electrical equipment, extraterrestrial etc.).

Element

An element consists of atoms having the same structure and the same chemically reaction.
See also Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Isomer, Isotope, Helium, and Gadolinium.
Mathematically, an element or member of a set is any one of the separate objects that make up that set. Elements in arrays (parallel arrangement of many identical items) are used in MRI coils.

Elscint Ltd.MRI Resource Directory:
 - Manufacturers -

Founded in 1969, Elscint is headquartered in Haifa, Israel. Elscint developed advanced computerized imaging systems in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM) and Mammography (MAM) for international markets.
In November 1998, General Electric Medical Systems (GEMS) acquired the Nuclear Medicine and MRI divisions of Elscint, including an unique MRI gradient system concept and technology (twin gradient system).
Elscint Ltd. signs definitive agreement to sell its Nuclear Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Businesses for $100 Million. Elscint's shareholders approved the sale of its NM, and MRI division to GE (now GE Healthcare). Picker International acquires the Computed Tomography Division of Elscint Ltd. in the same year.

www.isoltech.co.kr/english/product/05t.htm 'MRI system is not an expensive equipment anymore. ENCORE developed by ISOL Technology is a low cost MRI system with the advantages like of the 1.0T MRI scanner. Developed specially for the overseas market, the ENCORE is gaining popularity in the domestic market by medium sized hospitals.
Due to the optimum RF and Gradient application technology. ENCORE enables to obtain high resolution imaging and 2D/3D Angio images which was only possible in high field MR systems.'
- Less consumption of the helium gas due to the ultra-lightweight magnet specially designed and manufactured for ISOL. - Cost efficiency MR system due to air cooling type (equivalent to permanent magnetic). - Patient processing speed of less than 20 minutes.'

A brand name for ferumoxide (same as Feridex®)
Endoremâ„¢ is a black to reddish-brown aqueous colloid of superparamagnetic iron oxide associated with dextran for intravenous administration as a MRI contrast medium for the detection of liver lesions that are associated with an alteration in the RES.
Endoremâ„¢ is taken up by macrophages, found only in healthy liver cells but not in most tumors. Tissues such as metastases, primary liver cancer, cysts and various benign tumors, adenomas and hyperplasia retain their native signal intensity, so the contrast between normal and abnormal tissue is increased.
