echo spacing
how can I increase echo spacing without modifying the bandwith in a Siemens Trio?

GE FRFSE echo train length
I've been told that when using FRFSE the ETL should be an odd number. Is this true and if so why? Thanks.

MRI Techologist
Sir, Presently me working is Saudi Arabia under the Sponsor Ministry of Heath. I have 7 years experiece in the field of my expertise. I handled different types of machine, such as: Siemens Vision 1.5 Tesla Close MRI, Siemens Corcerto 0.2 Tesla Open MRI, Hitachi Aperto 0.4 Tesla Open MRI and Philips Achieva 1.5 Tesla Close MRI. Im holding a two license one from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission and the other is from Saudi Council for Health Specialties. At the same time,i have been processing my registration for Heath professional Council (HPC)to be credited in the United Kingdom, London.

Many Thanks,

Philip C. Lledo

IDEAL sequence help
To calculate the Proton Density Fat Fraction (PDFF) from MRI images of the liver acquired using LMS IDEAL (Iterative Decomposition of Water and Fat with Echo Asymmetry and Least Squares Estimation) with optimized low flip angles, you'll typically have multiple image sets corresponding to different echoes. The fat and water signals are separated based on their chemical shift differences. Look for image sets labeled as Water, Fat, or PDFF (Proton Density Fat Fraction). Depending on the software or DICOM tags used, the images may be explicitly labeled, or you may need to review the sequence parameters to determine which set corresponds to fat or water.

Improving MEDIC/MERGE/M-ffe and GRE/FFE image quality
Hi,
Sequences with multiple echoes are unfortunately sensitive to motion and flow artifacts, with the mFFE the echoes are still cumulated afterwards. The use of the head-neck coil provides better SNR. Important are good flow compensation, rest slab, try out foldover direction l/r vs. a/p. Shimming may help, synergy is sometimes better as clear, don't take too many slices, but maybe the signal loss is also a technical problem. Problems in the lung region are common. In short, we use 2D T2 TSE with continuous flow comp.
